Why there is no responsible one-price answer
A home elevator is not priced like a standalone appliance. The final project can include elevator equipment, site preparation, framing or shaft work, electrical work, doors and landings, finishes, and coordination with other trades. Existing-home retrofits may have a different construction scope from elevators planned into new construction.
